My name is Lauren Gathany and I am a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I have just completed my undergraduate studies with a major in Child Development and I am beginning studies at the Vanderbilt School of Nursing in the fall with a specialty in Pediatric Primary Care. In June-July 2009, I participated in an infant care volunteer program in Santiago, Chile. This blog shares information about my experience and the things that I learned from my time there.
